Sligo Airport has a beautiful location. It's located just a 15 minute walk from Stranhill town which is well known for its surfing opportunities and schools as well as the seaweed baths. There are lots of lovely beaches around. The airport cafe closed at 5pm when I was there. There are lots of places to eat in the village.
There are lots of waymaked walks in the area.
