Really scenic airport. VFR (there are hills at both ends of the runway) with FISO, fire crew and terminal building. More difficult in poor weather/stronger winds due to nearby terrain and relatively few other nearby airfields. Operated by Argyll and Bute Council. AVGAS has not been available for over two years, but is expected to be available fairly soon (May 2021). PPR mandatory but out of hours arrival/departure (not at night) possible with indemnity - a new holiday voucher indemnity is available lasting 1 week for £7, and can also apply for Coll and Collinsay (see website for details). This applies to private aircraft/flights only, although can include company owned aircraft (eg group shares) if non-commercial. Several hotels nearby in Connel (and also a railway station within 1 mile), otherwise 10-15 min taxi/bus into town for more facilities. Glenforsa/Mull about 10 mins flight time with other islands in fairly easy reach and also the Great Glenn north east to Inverness. Price for landing only was £20+VAT.
