Airfield is strictly PPR as they only have a limited quantum of movements available for non-based aircraft. Also, due to noise-sensitive neighbours, circuit needs to be flown precisely (should be no issue with moving map). Came from direction Augsburg and used direct long final to R07.
Operationally, only taxiway is at the threshold of R07, so backtracking is necessary when R07 is in use. Had another plane landing shortly after, so landed long, and held at the end of R07/threshold R25 in the turnaround space; no issues.
Hangarage might not be available as the based airplanes seem to take up all the space. Was no issue parking on the apron, but due to openness to the surroundings, the airfield requires to take note of the security advice, lock the planes, and not leave keys.
Transportation is difficult if not being picked up by someone as there's no public transport nearby, and taxi could take a while to arrive. Was taken care of by family, so no issue for me. On the other hand, great opportunity to walk a few minutes and visit the aircraft collection of the Deutsches Museum that is just on the other side of the airfield.
