The airport is joint civilian and military. As soon as I parked up, ATC was no longer interested and I was unable to ask for avgas. They just said it's not their responsibility and refused to help. After a couple of hours I found some American students (there was a sleepy flying school there) and they found some phone numbers and some people arrived who could not understand "avgas" but eventually I found a man who knew what it was, and a bowser arrived!
Then I discovered that the border police had been waiting for me the whole time, silently and just watching. They obviously enjoyed their break from the office.
There is a huge airline terminal but as with many Spanish airports there is negligible traffic so it is a ghost setup.
The above prices are insignificant but I would not assume they are reality today because Spain has had big rises.
The airport has a 2500ft elevation which is fairly high for aircraft performance but the runway is very long.
The city of Salamanca is beautiful, with lots to see. Especially the cathedral, where you can walk up to the top of the roof.
