Landing fee includes 4.85 EUR supplement for Sunday/public holiday. Their machine wouldn't take several of my credit cards, so I paid cash in the end. They had exact change.
The circuit area is quite narrow, and requires a tight continuous turn from downwind to final at low speed to not grossly overshoot the runway (and exit the circuit area). Probably not a problem in C172-type planes, but faster planes beware.
Coming from the South-East IFR, I thought I'd be "smart" to avoid the dogleg via WOODY and made a flight plan with a route that brought me to BEKEM by emulating it as a VOR+RADIAL+DISTANCE waypoint, which validated. They just sent me to WOODY anyway, and sent my workload through the roof. Also, quite late descent clearance, had me bombing down downwind in a 1000ft/s descent.
Similarly, on the way back, I filed VFR to Belgium, point BEKI (a mere 7nmi) and change of rules to IFR there, again they sent me to WOODY and then along a completely different route than filed, the first common point with the filed route was in the middle of the filed STAR.
So, arriving/departing IFR, don't fight it, just accept putting WOODY in your FPL...
