The airport is NOT "secured" by proper fencing, but there are 24/7 "bombeiros" (fire department personel) stationed at the airport.
There are NO fees of any kind at this airport (2024).
Uncontrolled G airspace, but flight follow service available from Lisboa Information, and airport radio (not mandatory) frequency available, mostly in English, but the odd PT language only as well. Close you ATC FPL with Lisboa by phone after landing or activate with Lisboa Information after departure.
The runways extension/displaced trashold should not be used for planned performance, it´s very uneven and unkept. Use the Runways designated (marked) areas for takeoff and landings.
There are hangarage available from time to time, and contact for that and AVGAS (100LL), should be made to Sr. Georgino at the maintenance company (Dunas). Normally maintenance staff from Dunas is at the hangars during normal working hours MON-FRI (away for lunch).
The airport itself is nothing special and not much going on normally. There may be some training flights using the airport (since it´s free and uncontrolled!).
Airport is about 1h train or 45min taxi/uber ride to Lisboa.
