The landing fee is considerably smaller if you are lucky to arrive within operational hours and/or announce your arrival through the airport web site, https://epkm.eu/?page_id=230 (Polish only but use Google translate) The NE half of the RWY was recently rebuild and is actually smooth & flat asphalt. The SW half is old concrete blocks, we use it routinely but it's rough. Taxiways are grass only and not precisely designated. Be careful while taxing. The usual tracks the residents use are flat and safe, but outside them you might encounter holes and/or waterlogged areas. If you have little prop clearance, ask for assistance and if none is provided proceed with utmost caution (no problem if you stop on the manouvering surface to assess conditions) Absolutely no problem entering/exiting the airport and accessing the apron out of operating hours. Which also means the security is not perfect if you are not staying in the hangar - there is CCTV and such but no physical gates/guards. AVGAS available, but you need assistance from staff in order to refuel. There is a nice briefing room available within operating hours (and also whenever any training takes place, which is the usual case in good weather). It is very easy to get to Katowice city center via Uber (10 min) or taxi (google for Katowice taxi and call one of the companies) or even a city bus. There is a bus stop within 5-10 min walking from the apron, but prepare in advance - google for routes, timetables etc. Katowice is an industrial city, popping into the center "just to see how it looks" without a plan might result in a disappointment ;-)
