A must see. great Avinor airfield ( as they all are) the difference here is the USA golf ball listening station on the Island which makes your headset sing. As usual, fantastic fire crews who recommended a place for lunch on the Island. £ 20 taxi under the water to Vardo, the worlds most bizarre little town. Battered by the weather, last stop before Russia in the north. Had lunch at Spice of your Life - a great little Indian restaurant run by a charming Afghan refugee. You couldn't make it up. Great pit stop and right on the Russian border. Finnmark is a great place to visit.
