Exeter is a nice town for a day trip, or for longer to explore the south west UK if you hire a car etc.
The airport is nice and friendly and everything works. You can book in with ATC +441392354916 or with the aeroclub (same system used).
Taxi is £15 each way.
They try to send you to grass and the hard parking seems owned by the aeroclub, but there has always been room. Aeroclub shuts 17:30 but after that you just call up ATC and go.
