Desolated airport 30 min. from the Porto city center. There’s no radio operator so you need to do blind calls. Airfield is mainly used by a local flight school. Avgas is available via the school although it is expensive. I paid 4 EUR per liter.
Uber to Porto City Center 20 EUR.
Porto is a beautiful city. Highly recommended!
The concrete taxiway E is in bad condition with tall vegetation next to it and lots of bumps in the concrete. Better avoid.
Next time I will take the shortest taxiway (B/C or D) from the apron and backtrack the rwy if necessary.
On departure the conditions were low IFR. I phoned Porto FIS on 229408024 and got a transponder code. On the ground I contacted Porto Approach who gave me initial departure instructions.
