Hadid were very welcoming, responsive and easy to deal with. There appears to be onsite immigration/customs for international arrivals/departures. Modern, comfortable passenger lounge. Private (Part NCO) VFR arrival/departures do not require any special approval or training, but worth reading the AIP and studying the chart. The runway sits behind a mountain with high terrain all around. Cloud and wind conditions may differ dramatically on the shoreline vs inland. Typically land on 27 and depart 09 even with some tailwind, since turning when inland can be quite constrained. The area close by is fairly upmarket and can be accessed by road or rail, includlng Monaco, Nice etc. It was not busy when I visited but is used by some larger bizjets. Radio service only from the tower. There is a localiser approach but with higher minima. A GPS approach is said to be in the works.
