Well... there was a nice restaurant but the owners retired mid 2019 due to the drop in traffic caused by the new police procedures (see below). There may be something still but I haven't checked.

A very friendly airport, favourite with Brits both for day trips and to clear immigration on the way elsewhere in Schengen.

Unfortunately the police are - typically for France - totally uninterested in the success of the airport which they regard as a place for hanging out and getting paid for doing as little as possible, and during 2019 they started to enforce a previous day's notice for Brits - effectively a 12-24hr PNR. This obviously killed most of the day trip traffic and caused the nice restaurant to shut.

The city of Cherbourg is still a great destination, with a super marine museum and a good walkabout in the city. The airport is very cheap and zero hassle. Just remember to email the police the day before - see the AIP.
