Very sleepy airfield, usually deserted. I once asked to have my logbook stamped which caused great consternation :) Relais Saint Christophe restaurant about 5 minutes walk, but never tried. 20 minute walk into Avallon itself; the old town has plenty of restaurants and a couple of churches, museums and mediaeval walls to visit along with a covered market. It's the nearest airfield for visiting the abbey at Vézelay (20 mins by car). On a previous visit (April 2011) the taxiway grass was quite long.
