If you want to go to the beach with GA, Granville is your go-to place.
Just walk to the aeroclub (below the tower) and fill in the form to give your information (fees invoice will be sent later). Note the code that will allow you to come back to the apron 24/7. The beach is just a few minutes walk, either by the road or just by walking along the runway (shorter but must step over a low fence). A family sea resort is just to the north of the airfield, you can see the camping municipal from the runway. It offers tents spots as well as lodges.
