The airport is inside the CTR of the military base LKKB Kbely, check the entry instructions on the website, the turning points are not too difficult to find, but I was glad I had put them in SkyDemon because there are villages everywhere to avoid. The Kbely tower was willing to vector me towards the field, so you can switch VFR quite late. The Letnany pattern is quite tight, make sure to slow down early.
Landing on 05R was OK, the surface of that grass strip is average, not really rough, but there are a couple of ondulations. The taxiway to the apron was smooth. While I was parking a couple of SR22s departed from 05L, that runway is more smooth but prone to soaking after rain, the initial acceleration was less than impressive.
All fuels are available (100LL, 91UL, Mogas, Jet A1), but check the NOTAMs (currently they don’t have Jet A1) or email (they answer within a day).
The guy at the payment office was super nice and helpful.
To go to town, you can walk 15 min on the small road south of the field and to the west, and will arrive at a bus and metro station. Take Metro C to downtown. Letnany is the final stop of line C, so you cannot go the wrong direction.
