Letnany is one of two VFR-only grass airfields suitable for visits to Prague. The web site has good information about facilities and arrival/departure procedures, given that the airfield is adjacent to the Kbely military airfield.
There are two runways 800m/850m. The longer runway is preferred for retractable gear aircraft. Used shorter runway and condition is generally good, but it is "rolling" rising and falling in waves which makes it seem rather bumpy. Hearsay is that the longer runway is smoother/flatter. Another aircraft in the group was a Bonanza Debonair and he had no issues. Parking is grass. Fuel available but not taken on.
Very friendly and efficient staff; paying fees took only a few minutes.
Walk to nearby underground station is about 1km/30', with 30' ride to central Prague.
Returned to airfield by Euro.eu taxi for CZK 500 from city centre, also about 30' ride.
AIP says customs available PNR M-F 24hr, O/T 48hr, but not needed for EU Schengen flights. FPL also not needed for flights to Germany and Austria.
Very large aviation museum at Kbely is 500m walk from Letnany, no entry fee. Well worth the visit.
