Incredibly scenic and beautiful islands in good weather. Runway is 490m declared and has a hump but no obstructions, displaced threshold and in good condition. You can only land/depart when airport is manned. Frequent daily commercial flights but very rapid turnaround. You will be directed to park on the grass which is rough and has some small holes but after checking I thought little risk of prop strike. Last flight departed 16:30 so staff are understandably keen for you to leave promptly thereafter. PPR with Aran Air by email was very easy as was initial radio call on common island frequency. Pleasant walk into town which has nice range of shops, pub, cafe, supermarket. Various bus and horse/cart tours on offer. Jet bikes and diving for the more adventurous.
