Midsize hire car from Carhire Hebrides (desk in the terminal and portacabin in the car park) was £132 for three days. £1500 insurance excess. Return fully fuelled (petrol station in the city 5 mins away). There appear to be no other options, but this company was absolutely fine. Otherwise, taxi (or bus) to the town for choice of hotels. Did not buy fuel which is believed to be quite pricey. Landing fee above (which is + VAT) would have been half price if I arrived VFR, so I should have cancelled IFR before arrival. ATC is non-radar, procedural service only and currently only non-precision approaches are published - fairly complicated with two DMEs and an offsite VOR - so consider using a Garmin Visual Approach if you have that available. There is an exit gate in the fence close to GA parking, so quite easy to leave but you need someone to let you back in (ask at the information desk). Payment by card via phonecall to ATC.
