A really nice and friendly airport. Everything works perfectly. Lots of parking.
One of the best airports I have ever been to, and I have done almost 200.
The IFR procedure is for Italian CAA authorised operators only but the airport is easy to get into by flying to overhead the canyon and then descending. ATC is really helpful with this. You just need to check the Aosta webcams before going there, to make sure the sky is clear.
OPS contact [email protected].
The total cost of €40.20 was made up of a number of items and the unusual ones, like a €4 departure charge, I grouped under Handling. There is no "handling" company as such; it is done by the airport and with a smile :)
Trip was done during CV19 restrictions and they wanted a CV19 test certificate done within preceeding 72hrs. There are no test facilities there so you need to turn up with this already done.
They have two hangars available for visitors; see airport website for details.
This trip was done partly to check out going to ski in Cervinia. The taxi to Cervinia €100 and about 1hr so this is perfectly ok.
The town of Aosta is really nice.

Spectacular arrival and departure, close to the Matterhorn, and one of my best trips ever!
