Redhill train station is around 10 minutes' drive and has regular services into London. Gatwick Express is also close by.
The aerodrome sits within the Gatwick CTA and therefore has joining procedures via set VRPs, depending upon which runways are in use. DO study the joining procedures thoroughly beforehand to avoid embarrassment. Transponders are mandatory for the north/south runway and an exemption would be required for the east/west runways.
When the grass is waterlogged, a 500m unlicensed runway is available.
Jet A1 is available and helicopters are also welcome.
