Really good and inexpensive, ok not cordon blue but much better than average. Tea is served as a teapot with a proper cup and saucer, the coffee is from a proper machine in a mug.

Approach from the East, due to proximity of Boscombe Down and its MATZ, at 1200ft QNH to join the visual circuit at 800ft QFE when Boscombe is active, 1000ft when not.
Thruxton is the home of the British Automobile Racing Club so is closed to movements on 4 weekends a year by Notam, usually 5pm Friday to 6pm Sunday. Car rental and taxis are available from Andover and there are plenty of local tourist attractions such as Stockbridge, the home of Fly fishing (on the River Test), which has great restaurants, pubs and accommodation.
