It is possible to have customs and immigration for a €30 additional fee (see above link for all charges)
My experience with local traffic was the worst I've had. A certain local aircraft cut into the pattern on two different occasions, one causing me to go around, as it was on final.
Be aware when flying the pattern here.
The locals are incredibly friendly toward pilots. I have been helped by locals on the ground every time I have landed here.
There is no lodging nearby. One must go to either the Sauerländer Hotel 10km away, or Battenberg, which is 3km away, but rarely has vacancy.
For a cheap alternative try the Pensions in Dodenau.
There is a very good Mooney Service Center on this airfield (ACG Air-Craft GmbH).
