Very active and friendly grass airfield also with glider, parachuting, training, maintenance. Homebase aircraft include DA42, Mooney, TB20, Cirrus. RTC is officially English. Since airfield is within Dubendorf Mil CTR, contact via 118.975 to determine ACT/INACT. Note arrival/departure route restrictions when active. Follow indicated arrival/departure routes/altitudes accurately. Dubendorf TWR generally very friendly. Web site information is comprehensive, but only in German. Use of translator highly recommended for English-only pilots. AIP info available on web site (VAC, AD, etc), as well as multiple videos and pdf's showing proper circuits. Circuit procedures should be studied well in advance and attempt made to fly as exactly as possible due to sensitive local residents. Note 3 areas to be avoided for 30' during respective burials (activity published on home page), as well as areas to be avoided during parachute jumps (i.e. parabox active). Customs (Zoll) available for flights to/from Schengen countries only, subject to conditions: no VISA requirement, no goods to declare, ...
