Great island for a family weekend out! After parking you just walk out of the gate. Payment is done upon return. In the briefing room you’ll find a phone in order to call Tower. The invoice then will come out of the printer in the briefing room.
You just enter the amount on the pin device and pay by credit card. We paid 20 EUR for landing and two nights parking.
Back at the GA gate you need to show the below items on CCTV camera:
- ID
- Pilot licence
- credit card receipt
If ok they will open the gate remotely and you can just walk back to your aircraft.
The island itself has a lot to offer. We rented bikes and went to the bird of pray show, which was nice! Especially the north side of the island is very pretty, see photos below of the area near Gudhjem.
