Everything worked as well as you would expect in Greece. Goldair are fairly good, with a load of paper pushing. Avgas in a little bowser, credit card or AIR BP. Or of course cash ;) Since the Fraport (of Germany) takeover of most moneymaking Greek airports in 2016 this €30 airport is now over €300, but I decided to take the hit on this trip because it was close to the destination of Astypalea LGPL (a EuroGA fly-in) and it would leave me with nearly full tanks at LGPL, so max options for flying out of Greece. Nowadays LGIO would be preferred.
I stayed just 1 night. I've done a number of visits to LGSM in the pre-Fraport days and it's always a lovely place to hang out. There is plenty to see especially if you have a few days. Most Greek islands are simply beautiful - no words can describe them!
