The airfield is at the top of some cliffs which makes landing and takeoff a bit more scenic. The runways in a flattened X are close together so make sure not to land on the wrong one. Tarmac a bit gravelly in places but not poor. I took the folding bike down into town, 300 feet below the airfield at sea level. It’s a very steep hill, almost destroying the brakes on the way down, and giving me a heart attack on the way up again. It looks like there’s a couple nice coves to the west, and the flying club website lists accommodation and taxis: http://www.perranporthflyingclub.co.uk/facilities.html Landing fee is approximate, and fuel was a bit more than usual but not extortionate.
